Asia, the place where Aircons seem mandatory...
Why? When living day in and day out in 30°C and over 85% of humidity you might start to understand why every apartment, even old shaky ones, have these machines hanging outside their walls.
You may start to get used to the heat. You may start to get used to the humidity. But, honestly, when do you ever get used to this when their powers are combined. You are always covered with a film of sticky, gross sweat.
Our aircon in the master bedroom never really worked properly. It had a life of its own.
One day it works and the next it decides to punish you for having enjoyed it for that one day....
You know Llamas? They like to spit, right? Well, our aircon loves to spit. I really, truly believe it enjoys this more than anything else it could possibly do.
It spits all over the place, but get this: on the inside of the house.
You looking at the beautiful little forest of bamboo outside the apartment when a light fresh drizzle falls on your arms, refreshing, a sprinkle. Suddenly it gets more like rain, but wait a minute! The rain is contained to one area by the window! That shouldn't be what concerns you, what should concern you is that you're still indoors and the aircon is basically peeing on you.
This is not something we enjoy! At least most people...
Now this time the repair man thinks he got the problem fixed. We certainly hope so! The puddle is starting to overwhelm the room.
Maybe tonight I will get a cool night's sleep....
So, do you sleep with or without aircon?
It is usually 32°C in our bedroom and although we're used to this heat now sometimes it is nice to have a bit of a cool breeze.
But don't despair! Here in this following link you can learn how to make your own aircon!
Have fun and a cool day!
